Council confirms appointments to parks, 9‑1‑1 and housing finance boards

The Odessa City Council confirmed a set of appointments to city boards and commissions during the meeting.

Council member Vasquez moved to appoint Matthew Sparks to the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board representing District 3; Councilman Thompson seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The council reappointed Chief Mike Gerken to the Emergency 9‑1‑1 Advisory Board; the reappointment was moved and seconded and the council approved it by voice vote.

For the Odessa Housing Finance Corporation, council recorded nominations to replace Megan Gossett with Mike Withrow and Connie Koons with Courtney Ward, and noted Lance Marker was willing to serve again. Councilman Thompson moved and Councilman Vasquez seconded the slate; the motion passed unanimously.

All appointments were approved on voice votes with no recorded opposition.
