Ottawa visitor-center representative urges committee to support effort to bring children's museum to LaSalle County

“Good morning. I'm Donna from the Ottawa Visitor Center. I am also and I'm working on a major project for Ottawa in LaSalle County. I am trying to bring in a children's museum to our area,” Donna said during the public-comment portion of the Aug. 15 meeting.

Why it matters: A children’s museum could expand family-oriented attractions and tie into the county’s tourism marketing; Donna said she had presented material to the City of Ottawa and wanted to share information with the tourism committee for awareness and future coordination.
