Board restores Strong Communities grant appropriation after prior deferral

Peoria County Board members approved a budget appropriation to accept and reallocate an Illinois Housing Development Authority Strong Communities Program grant extension that had been deferred at the July 10 meeting. The item (9.2) was brought forward after the earlier deferral and passed without recorded dissent.
Member Amber Rosenbaum explained the item had been tabled previously because the board lacked a quorum and described the current action as restoring the grant award and returning it to the county budget. No additional debate or conditions were recorded on the floor.
The board adopted the appropriation by voice vote with 18 ayes. Staff did not provide further detail on the size of the reallocation during the public portion of the meeting; the grant and budget documents are part of the county record for this item.
