Board places policy update 34.2 on the table for final ratification next month

On Aug. 21 the Fort Atkinson School Board completed the first reading of board-policy update 34.2 and voted to place the updated sections on the table for final ratification at the September meeting. District staff said the update comes from a third-party consortium, Neola, which reviews statutes and standardizes policy language. Staff told the board the changes are primarily updates to legal references and wording consistency rather than substantive policy changes. The board approved placing the update on the table and will consider final adoption during next month’s consent agenda unless a board member requests a separate review.
