The Wyoming City Board of Education approved a package of routine business items including second‑reading approval of revised policies, a one‑week calendar shift, acceptance of minutes and May financial statements, and a contractor services agreement for the 2025‑26 school year.
Board members said the policy rewrites were required by recent changes in Ohio law; the second reading followed an initial reading in May. On the calendar, a board member summarized the change: "The change here the only change here is, the the May fate date. On the original 2526 calendar that was connected to Memorial Day weekend... so we've shifted it 1 week earlier in the calendar." The board approved the revised calendar.
The board approved the minutes from May 19 (regular), May 29 (special) and June 3 (planning) and accepted the May statement of revenues and expenses. Trustees also accepted a list of donations and approved appropriation adjustments to tidy year‑end student activity accounts, including band and other activity accounts.
Members approved a 2025‑26 contractor services agreement with HCC to support student reporting and state data systems. The board also approved temporary appropriations to allow the district to process payroll and operations at the start of the new fiscal year, enabling the July 5 pay date.
Several motions were adopted by roll call as recorded in the meeting materials and transcript. Board members did not set additional substantive policy beyond the items on the agenda.
