Commission forwards Windrose Green Section 7 final plat (62 lots) to council

The Angleton Planning and Zoning Commission approved and forwarded the Windrose Green Section 7 final plat to city council after staff reported the applicant had addressed city‑engineer comments and the plat matched the approved concept plan.

Planning staff described Section 7 as a 62‑lot portion of Windrose Green located east of Section 8. Staff said the final plat is consistent with the concept plan and prior lot‑count agreements, and that outstanding city‑engineer comments were textual and had been resolved.

Mr. Spriggs said the lots and sizes were consistent with prior approvals. He also noted the larger development’s lot-size progression: “40 foot is our smallest, which was already developed in Section Thirties. So there's no more remaining 40 foot product in the window screen,” a staff comment noting there are no additional 40‑foot products remaining in the development.

Commissioner Townsend moved to accept staff recommendation and approve the Windrose Green Section 7 final plat and forward it to city council; Commissioner Heston seconded. The motion carried on an affirmative vote. Commissioners discussed that only Section 8 would remain after these approvals and that Section 8 will include 50‑foot lots along a single street.
