County schedules public meeting on Road 3500 project after contractor delays; pours and pours planned for Road 3000

County staff updated commissioners on progress and recent challenges on two road projects and announced a public information meeting to provide detailed status and timelines to the community.

Project manager reported that the Road 3500 contract is progressing but experienced runoff-related site damage requiring cleanup and rework of wing-wall forming following recent runoff. The Road 3000 (Bridal on Road 3000) project is at a critical stage; crews stabilized groundwater issues and scheduled concrete pours for the two grade-beam footers on Thursday and Friday, with precautions taken because work occurs in an active drainage channel.

Commission leadership said a community information meeting will be held in the commission chambers on Sept. 10 at 5:30 p.m. to discuss project history, schedule changes and construction difficulties and to provide transparency. Staff said they would invite the contractor to attend. The county will continue to post two-week to three-week look-ahead schedules and maintain public-facing updates via social media and the county website.
