City outlines "Game Day on Main" plan to leverage free game shuttles and add outdoor screens downtown

Joey Dunn, deputy city manager, presented a concept the city is calling "Game Day on Main" to the Bryan City Council on Aug. 12. "Quick update on this new concept we wanna bring to you today called Game Day on Maine," Dunn said, describing plans to pair the existing downtown-to-stadium shuttle with outdoor viewing, vendors and sponsorships.

Dunn and other staff said the Palace shade structure might be upgraded over time but that downtown options include the Queen Theatre, Third Floor Cantina and other indoor venues if rain requires moving patrons indoors. Council members also requested continued coordination with Texas A&M and a push to use audio messaging on shuttles to promote downtown offerings.
