EDC consultant CP2 reports business outreach, inaugural networking event and website work

A CP2 consultant reported to the Kennedale Economic Development Corporation on Aug. 26 that the firm made more than 20 face-to-face visits with Kennedale businesses in the past month, strengthened relationships and identified local needs. "We directly engaged with more than 20 Kennedale businesses through face to face visits," the consultant said, noting the visits helped highlight EDC resources available to support growth. The consultant said CP2 organized the inaugural business connection luncheon that drew 45 attendees and representatives from more than 15 local businesses, along with city, chamber and Rotary leadership. The event focused on networking and introductions to EDC and chamber resources; the consultant said organizers received "really great, strong, positive feedback" and are planning a follow-up event in early 2026 to focus on smaller entrepreneurs and emerging businesses. The consultant said CP2 is working on hometown-Christmas sponsorships and finalizing entertainment contracts, and that the EDC website redesign is near completion. The site is being configured to serve both site selectors considering Kennedale and existing businesses by collecting information on grants, incentives and permitting pathways and by making those resources easier to access outside business hours. "This platform's goal is that it will not only increase Kennedale's visibility and credibility with investors but also equip our local businesses with the tools they need to grow," the consultant said.
