New Castle board approves bus routes for the coming school year

The New Castle Community School Board of Trustees voted 5-0 Aug. 11 to approve bus routes for the district. The motion to approve the routes was made by Jaci Hadsell and seconded by Josh Estelle.
The minutes state the routes were approved “as presented,” but do not include route maps, stop lists, or any discussion of changes from the prior year. The district’s transportation staff and administrators were present in the meeting roster, but the minutes do not quote them or summarize operational impacts such as changes in pickup times or the number of buses in service.
Board members also acknowledged work by maintenance, transportation, and custodial staff in preparing for the start of school, and the minutes note appreciation for food service continuing to feed students.
