The Fairfield Community Schools Board voted unanimously on June 12 to approve revised meal prices for the 2025-26 school year and purchase lunch serving tables for Millersburg Elementary.
The board approved proposed price increases that on average raise student meal costs by about $0.10 per meal. The district's supplemental material shows the following prices for 2025-26: elementary breakfast $1.20 (up from $1.10), elementary lunch $2.10 (up from $2.00), secondary breakfast $1.35 (up from $1.25) and secondary lunch $2.35 (up from $2.25). Adult lunch would increase to $3.50 from $3.25. The board approved the prices on a motion by Sarah Elledge, seconded by Tyler Rensberger; the motion passed unanimously.
At the same meeting the board approved the purchase of lunch serving tables from C&T Design and Equipment Company for Millersburg. The quoted purchase includes removal, delivery, setup, installation and electrical hookups. Sarah Elledge moved to approve the purchase and Tyler Rensberger seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
Board minutes note that the revised meal prices would take effect at the beginning of the 2025-26 school year and that a copy of the 2025-26 lunch prices accompanies the minutes. No changes to extra entrée, extra side or milk prices were recorded in the supplemental material. The minutes do not detail any subsidy changes or specifically list the budget line that will pay for the tables.
