The Fairfield Community Schools Board unanimously approved multiple operational items at the June 12 meeting, including overnight field trips for FFA and boys' basketball, donations to district programs and service agreements for fire-alarm services and trash collection.
The board approved overnight travel for Fairfield FFA to the Indiana FFA Convention in West Lafayette (June 16–18) and to an FFA officer retreat at Chain O'Lakes State Park (June 30–July 2). The board also approved an out-of-state trip for the boys' basketball team to attend camp at the University of Findlay in Ohio (June 26–27). Aaron Rink moved to approve the field trips and Brian Wogoman seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
Donations recorded in the minutes included $500 from Interra Credit Union for Teacher Appreciation Week; $9,000 from the Millersburg Elementary-Middle School PTO for playground equipment; $1,000 from Benton Township Trustee to Falcon 911 Camp; $1,003 from the Doub Beck Memorial Fund to the marching band; $2,000 and $431.25 from the Fairfield Alumni Association/Blue and Gold Club for girls basketball camp league and football coaches camp, respectively. The donation motions were approved unanimously.
Operational contracts approved included a service agreement and inspection agreement with New Era Technology for fire-alarm monitoring and inspection, and a two-year trash service agreement with Republic Services; each motion passed unanimously. The board also approved Cooperative Purchasing Bids for 2025-26 and an update to PERF 77 Police/Fire Pension Fund for Skyler Garner. The minutes do not include contract dollar amounts for these agreements.
The board approved the donations, trips and service agreements by unanimous votes and recorded no public objection in the minutes.
