Calhoun County ISD schedules July and August budget workshops ahead of adoption

District staff briefed trustees June 16 on the 2025–26 budget process and scheduled public budget workshops for July 21, Aug. 4 and Aug. 11 as part of the district’s preparation for budget adoption. Why it matters: The workshops are part of the formal process that informs the district’s 2025–26 budget and final adoption timeline. Robin Martinez presented the schedule and reminded trustees that August meetings are calendarized around budget preparation and adoption; no board action was required at the June 16 meeting. The minutes note that regular board meetings are normally held on the third Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m., with the practice of holding the December meeting at the Port O’Connor School and the February meeting at Seadrift School; all other meetings are held in the CCISD boardroom.
