Surrey Township transfers zoning authority to Ward County, placed in Agriculture Production 3 district

Surrey Township asked Ward County to assume zoning authority for the township, and the commission approved the request at the July 1 meeting. The request was presented to the commission by Planning Administrator Beth Pietsch; Surrey Township Chairman Mark Vollmer spoke in favor, saying the township could not handle the zoning authority. Commissioners voted to place Surrey Township in the Agriculture Production 3 District of the Ward County Land Ordinances.
