Council administers oath to new planning commissioner Viridiana Rosales Trujillo

Mayor Pro Tem Ida Obezo Martinez introduced her planning commission appointee, Viridiana (also referred to in the oath as Viviana) Rosales Trujillo. Rosales Trujillo described 17 years living in Imperial, her role as manager of the Imperial County Small Business Development Center and academic credentials including a master’s in public administration with graduate certificates in urban management and urban development.
Rosales Trujillo took the oath of office administered by the city and thanked supporters in the audience. "I am very thankful for this opportunity… I am very honored and excited about the opportunity that this brings to continue to grow and contribute," she said.
Council members and staff congratulated her and took a photo at the dais. The appointment and oath were completed during the meeting; a formal vote was not recorded in the transcript for the appointment segment shown.
