Boone County RDC ratifies prior claims, approves monthly legal bill

The Boone County Redevelopment Commission ratified several previously approved claims and approved a new invoice at its meeting on Friday.

Commission staff read a list of prior bills and asked the commission to ratify payments previously approved at the prior meeting. Items included a $2,000 trustee fee paid to Bank of New York Mellon and a $55,389 invoice for legal services. Several Baker Tilly invoices were also listed by reference.

Commissioners ratified those claims by voice vote with no opposition and then approved a single new legal invoice for $2,060. Staff said the payments are being made from the dispute resolution fund, which has been held for years to cover such matters.

No members of the public spoke on the claims. Staff or advisers indicated the accounts appear current and that payments are catching the commission up on outstanding items.
