Defense attorney says client will accept deferred disposition; court schedules plea for Sept. 2 in State v. Litzy Andrea Meza

A judge in County Criminal Court scheduled a deferred plea for Litzy Andrea Meza after defense counsel told the court the client would accept the deferred disposition and needed to complete paperwork.

Defense attorney Miss Moreno informed the court, "She's gonna accept the deferred, so we just need to come in to do the paperwork." The judge and counsel discussed calendar availability and set the plea for Sept. 2 at 1:30 p.m.

The defense noted a scheduling conflict for a morning trial in another county; the parties agreed on the afternoon time. The court confirmed the appearance date and time and excused the parties.

No plea was entered at the hearing; the setting was for the in-court plea and the completion of required paperwork for the deferred disposition.
