Council and colleagues honor retiring City Clerk Donna at meeting close

At the end of the meeting councilmembers and staff took time to recognize City Clerk Donna on her last day before retirement. Multiple councilmembers praised Donna’s professionalism, integrity and mentorship. Deputy Mayor Mark Ziegler and others offered brief tributes noting her ‘‘undeniable mark’’ on the community and thanking her for years of public service. The mayor and several councilmembers invited attendees to a cake in the back and welcomed Mary as the city’s incoming clerk.

Remarks were ceremonial. Council did not take formal personnel or budget action during the recognition; staff and council emphasized gratitude and a planned small reception following the meeting.
