Green Kirkland Stewards orientation starts Sept. 18; volunteers to learn restoration and stewardship skills

The city’s Green Kirkland Stewards volunteer orientation is scheduled to begin Sept. 18, organizers said on the Sept. 4 This Week in Kirkland podcast. The program provides free training in restoration skills, opportunities to meet neighbors and guidance for helping maintain local green spaces.

A city presenter said the program is among the city’s most popular volunteer activities and encouraged residents to register at greenkirkland.org.
