Equestrian committee to launch “Equestrian of the Month” feature; communications to assist

At the Aug. 20 meeting the Milton Equestrian Committee revived a previously discussed “Equestrian of the Month” program and agreed to begin outreach for nominees. Committee members reported that community interest exists and that nominations may include riders seeking scholarship recognition.

A committee member said she will draft a template and circulate it to the group; staff asked that the city communications team be included in the rollout. The committee asked staff to provide the draft for review and to coordinate with Communications Director Greg Artello before publishing the first feature.

No formal voting was required; staff and communications staff will work with committee volunteers to finalize a template and schedule.
