Milton advisory committee appoints secretary, defers vice-chair selection until full membership

The Milton Sustainability Advisory Committee on Aug. 12 appointed committee member Francia Linden as secretary and postponed selecting a vice chair until the committee is at full strength.

Committee members voted to approve the previous meeting minutes and then moved to appoint Francia Linden to the secretary role. The motion and second were recorded in the meeting and members indicated the appointment is effective immediately.

Committee chair Charlie Lanzowach asked whether members wanted to select a vice chair now or wait for replacements for two vacant seats. Members agreed to wait for one vacancy tied to a council appointment after the November election and to pursue possible candidates for the other opening in the coming days. Sarah, city staff, said she would follow up on candidate leads and circulate names to the committee.

Ending: Staff will collect potential appointee names and share them with committee members; the group will revisit the vice-chair appointment once a full complement of members has been named.
