Legislative session schedules second reading of substitute budget bill for Monday at 1 p.m.

Presiding member, speaking during a legislative session, said members will receive a substitute version of the budget bill for review and that formal consideration will occur at a second-reading session on Monday at 1 p.m.

The presiding member said, "there's gonna be the consideration for the budget bill" and that "there is a substitute version of the budget bill that will be considered," but added that discussion and any decision on substituting would be deferred until Monday. The presiding member also said Office of Financial Budget staff and the oversight chair had assured members the substitute bill "will be on your desk, in due time" so it can be reviewed.

No motions, amendments or votes were taken during the remarks. The session did not take any formal action on the budget measure and the presiding member said there would be no discussion of whether to substitute the bill until the Monday meeting at 1 p.m.
