Board reviews calendar and public meetings ahead of a busy week

At the start of the work session commissioners reviewed the board calendar for the coming days and weeks. Items listed included staff-level budget meetings, a charter review session, monthly DCD staff meeting, behavioral advisory board meeting, Conservation Futures meeting and several radio public appearances. Staff also reminded commissioners of an evening joint meeting next week with Port Angeles elected officials on the joint public-safety facility, which staff said would start around 5 p.m.

Why it matters: commissioners will face several budget workshops and public engagements in the coming week; the calendar review was informational and no formal action was taken. Staff noted the county cabinet meeting was canceled for September and October because of budget work.
