Residents report tractor-trailers using Cutter's Dock; administration says it has contacted Amazon and map providers

A resident told the Woodbridge Township Council that large Amazon tractor-trailers continue to use Cutter's Dock and make difficult turns on Fultz Street, and asked that the township reach out directly to Amazon’s dispatch to ask the company to redirect trucks.

Ken Gardner, of 101 Schodler Avenue, said neighbors reported multiple 18-wheelers coming down Cutter's Dock and said the tight intersection makes U-turns or maneuvering hazardous. "According to some of the residents, there have been a number of Amazon trucks," he said at the microphone.

Township officials responded that the administration has contacted Amazon and sent a letter, and that the township has also reached out to mapping services used by truck drivers. An administration representative said the problem is challenging because Amazon uses many carriers and routing services, and that changes by the company and on routing platforms can take time to propagate. The administration also noted existing signage at Cutter's Dock and said it would reinforce enforcement and signage where needed.

The resident also raised unrelated development concerns in Seawarn and the Penvell Road area; the mayor said there were no current plans before the township for a warehouse on Penvell Road. The administration did not announce any new regulatory action in response to the Cutter's Dock comments but said it had already attempted outreach.
