Town board approves wall-height waiver for Changrick residence

The Paradise Town Advisory Board on June 24 voted to recommend approval of a waiver of development standards to allow an increased wall height and related setback adjustments for a single-family residence in an RS-20 zone.

The application (WS2504—Changrick Family Trust) sought permission to raise an existing wall height and adjust setback dimensions on a 0.61-acre lot. Board members reviewed photos and neighborhood context; one member noted multiple modern homes in the area and that the proposed wall “blends right in.”

County staff noted permit and setback interactions and that a 6-foot fence allowance was being clarified. With no public speakers, the board moved to approve the item “subject to approved conditions” and directed that the matter advance to the county commissioners for final action on July 16.

The advisory board’s recommendation does not change county-level permit requirements; final decisions on wall height and any building permits will be made by county planning and building-safety officials.
