Commissioners accept settlement framework in Bloklinger matter, pending executed documents

Following an executive session on potential and pending litigation, the Walla Walla County Board of Commissioners voted to accept a CR2A agreement and a full-and-final release in litigation involving the estate of Bloklinger.

Prosecuting attorney staff reported the county participated in mediation and “have reached a tentative settlement,” but that not all parties had yet signed the paperwork. The prosecutor asked the board to accept the CR2A agreement and the release so the county can finalize settlement when the remaining signatures are obtained; the board approved the request 3-0.

The meeting record does not disclose settlement terms. County counsel said finalization is contingent on receiving executed documents from all parties.
