Manchester Board approves $13,600 contract for website accessibility platform

The Manchester Board Mayor & Aldermen approved a $13,600 contract with CivicPlus to license Acquia Optimize, a website governance and accessibility platform, during a brief meeting. The motion to approve was made by Alderman Levasseur and seconded by Alderman Sapienza; the vote was four ayes with Alderman Thomas recorded as absent.

John Fortier, director of information services, submitted the communication asking the board to authorize the contract. The board recorded the cost as $12,600 for the license plus $1,000 for activation and setup. Board members noted that the expense is covered in the department's budget.

Discussion during the item was limited to confirming the financials and budget coverage; no additional amendments or conditions were proposed. The formal motion was moved by Alderman Levasseur and seconded by Alderman Sapienza and was approved by the members present: Chairman Lawn, Alderman Levasseur, Alderman Sapienza and Alderman Fajardo. After the contract vote the board adopted a motion to adjourn moved by Alderman Sapienza and seconded by Alderman Bridal. The adjournment motion carried by voice vote.
