The Town of Babylon board approved a large slate of renewals by affidavit and two affidavits of transfer at its Aug. 26, 2025 meeting. The renewals covered a series of residential properties across North Lindenhurst, West Babylon, Deer Park, Lindenhurst, Farmingdale and other local communities; the board voted “Aye” on each renewal motion presented in sequence.
Board members called each renewal by number; motions were typically made by Lamont or Stephanie and seconded by other members. The record lists renewal items numbered at least through 34, including properties such as 42 East Merritt Street (McGinnis), 801 Herzl Boulevard (Batisha), 114 Lexington Avenue (Messina Trust), 44 Westwood Avenue (McDonald) and 31 Statesman Street (Hernandez), among others. The board also approved two affidavits of transfer (one at 915 North Broom Avenue and one at 414 Venetian Boulevard, Lindenhurst).
On the reserve calendar the board called up a matter at 66 Toysoom Lane in Deer Park; that application was approved after a motion by Carolyn and seconded by Stephanie. The board accepted minutes for its Aug. 5 and Aug. 19, 2025 meetings and then moved to adjourn; the chair announced the next meeting would be in September and a motion was made to adjourn on Sept. 9, 2025.
No public controversy was raised during the renewals section; votes were voiced as “Aye” and recorded as carried. Several board members participated in the roll call of motions and seconds for the routine items.
