Finance Committee authorizes contingency funds to continue IPMG wire through fiscal year

The Finance Committee voted to authorize use of contingency funds to pay for the IPMG wire through the end of the fiscal year. Williams moved the resolution; Van Dine seconded, and a roll call showed Newfquist, Williams, Richmond and Van Dine voting yes. The motion carried.

Rashawn, a finance presenter, told the committee the request is "to fund the IPMG wire through the end of the fiscal year." He said the Tort Immunity fund "has depleted the budget," and that the wire service operates twice a week. Rashawn added that "the $3.50 is authorization up to that, but they may not, spend that much." The transcript record of the dollar amount is unclear.
