Commissioners approve final pass-through for YMCA roof repair funded by OCRA grant

Sept. 17, 2025 Decatur County commissioners approved a pass-through closeout form for an OCRA grant used to repair the roof of the Decatur County YMCA, commissioners said at a special session.

Officials said the county acted as a pass-through for state funds under the OCRA program for roof repairs. The meeting record shows a construction portion for the over-roof repair listed at $500,000 and that the YMCA's matching portion was cited as $500,000; speakers said the original grant amount was $500,000 and that the $500,000 had been dispersed. "I'll make a motion to approve the place out form 2 for YMCA for the OCRA grants," one commissioner said; another seconded the motion and "Aye" votes followed. The motion passed.

No further accounting detail or remaining encumbrances were discussed at the meeting. Commissioners did not set additional county matching requirements at the session.
