Court approves nondisclosure agreements to let two technicians program county P25 radios

Van Zandt County commissioners on Friday approved nondisclosure agreements (NDAs) for two contractors to program radios on the county's P25 radio system. The court named the two individuals, Josh Crane and Cody Craig, and approved NDAs that prohibit disclosure of encryption keys and other proprietary radio programming information. County staff said the two have provided substantial technical assistance and training to the county radio system and that the NDA protects county-owned information. A county staff member noted that the individuals must complete L3 Harris radio-programming training before using keys or programming radios. The motion to approve NDAs passed by voice vote.
