Agency accepts new application for Wheeler's Farms Road redevelopment; presentation expected in November

The Milford Inland Wetlands Agency on Oct. 1 received a new application from Wheelers Farms Development LLC to redevelop the existing office complex at 470–488 Wheelers Farms Road into a mixed-use community. The filing indicates grading and mitigation work in and within 150 feet of a wetland and watercourse in the watershed.

Patrick O’Leary, vice president of development and acquisitions for the applicant, introduced himself and said the team looks forward to coordinating with staff and the city engineer. Staff said the application was submitted for acceptance and that the project team anticipated making a fuller presentation at a future meeting (the applicant suggested Nov. 5). City staff will circulate the town-engineer comments as they become available.

The agency did not take final action on the application at the Oct. 1 meeting; receipt places the project on the agency’s intake schedule and starts the review timeline for wetlands and upland-review-area issues.
