Committee approves lease renewal for restaurant patio at Vulcan Heritage Park

The committee approved a lease allowing the restaurant identified in the agenda as "Jay Restaurant" to continue using leased patio space at Vulcan Heritage Park; the motion passed 5-0.

During discussion Director Gaza described the tenant as a strong partner who maintains their leased area, helps with landscaping and has assisted with clean-up beyond the immediate leased space. Committee members asked whether there had been any conflicts between park users and the tenant; Director Gaza said the arrangement had been mutually beneficial and that staff had not received recurring complaints.

A motion to approve the lease carried unanimously. The committee recorded no conditions or modifications to the lease in the meeting minutes; any further changes would be handled administratively or through the formal lease process, as required.
