Assistant Attorney General Kenneth Lewis Jr. and John Francik of AVS presented the results of the 2025 annual life‑safety inspection of BoomTown Casino New Orleans and asked the Louisiana Gaming Control Board to issue the casino a certificate of compliance.
Mr. Francik said AVS inspectors conducted the initial inspection Sept. 4 and identified deficiencies that required correction. AVS completed a follow‑up inspection on Sept. 19 and recorded no deficiencies in its Sept. 30 report. He described the inspection as a comprehensive review of life‑safety systems, including fire protection measures, egress routes, emergency lighting, generator tests, mooring systems and an overseen fire drill.
The board received the AVS report and a motion to issue BoomTown a certificate of compliance expiring Oct. 31, 2026 was moved by Mr. Scholes and seconded by Miss Hamilton Acker. There was no opposition and the motion carried.
Mr. Francik concluded by saying the 2025 annual survey required by the Louisiana Gaming Control Board is complete and that AVS professionally recommends issuance of the certificate.
