Downtown Estacada Commission adopts May minutes, assigns rotating minute-taking

At the June 2 Downtown Estacada Commission meeting, commissioners adopted the May 5 meeting minutes and agreed to begin a new rotating minute-taking process immediately.

Meeting minutes process
Chair Fox Hames (as recorded) explained a new two-page meeting-minute template that will list committee, date, attendance, motions (mover/second and outcome) and a listing of public commenters. Commissioners agreed the template should be used going forward and that members will rotate responsibility for completing it and sending it to staff member Evelyn on a monthly basis.

Adoption of minutes
A motion to accept the May 5 meeting minutes as written was made and seconded; the chair called for the vote and the minutes were adopted. The meeting record shows the commission adopted the minutes at this session; individual vote tallies were not recorded in the excerpt.

Membership and attendance
Staff noted there is one application to fill the seat vacated by Anna Smith. The commission will review the applicant and may recommend a candidate to the city council at the next meeting.
