District reports progress on Roosevelt, Liberty Hill and Lake Wylie construction; Clover High site work nears closeout

District facilities staff updated trustees on the progress of major capital projects tied to the bond program, reporting both completed items and remaining work before school openings.

At Roosevelt Middle School staff said the construction closeout is complete and a certificate of occupancy has been issued for the work done to convert the former ninth‑grade campus. At Clover High School site work, the district said building and athletic site packages are closed out except for final erosion stabilization and grassing; managers said they have seeded areas and expect the last outstanding items to be addressed in the coming weeks.

Liberty Hill Elementary construction is advancing on multiple fronts: crews are installing roof envelope systems and decking for a second‑floor slab in the classroom wings; interior blockwork and paint are underway and portions of the cafeteria/multipurpose common areas are dried in. Facilities staff noted Liberty Hill will be the district's first elementary school with a second floor.

Lake Wylie High School work continues on site finishes and athletic facilities. The district is building practice fields, an eight‑lane track with an artificial turf interior, a six‑court tennis complex and baseball/softball fields; crews have completed track curbing and are progressing on parking, curbs and asphalt. Staff said Cannonball Run turn‑lane work and site access improvements are in place to meet county traffic standards and that most of the high school shell is dried in.

Facilities staff said the district will rebrand the gym floor, update cafeteria seating and install new signage at the Roosevelt campus and will repaint the gym floor and replace branding to reflect Roosevelt's identity. Trustees were invited to schedule site visits as work continues.
