Jonesboro committee approves forwarding resolution to accept 15-foot drainage easement from Gerald Sharp

A City of Jonesboro committee on an administrative session voted to forward to full council a resolution authorizing the mayor and city clerk to accept a permanent drainage easement from Gerald Sharp.

The resolution describes a 15-foot drainage easement along the north 50 feet of the east 15 feet of Lot 22, Wheeler Heights Subdivision, Craighead County, Arkansas, to permit construction and maintenance of drainage improvements. The committee chair read the resolution aloud before members moved and seconded referral to the full council; the committee then cast ballots and the item was approved and forwarded.

The committee made no changes to the easement description during the meeting and there was no recorded discussion beyond the reading of the resolution and the committee’s vote.

The forwarded resolution will appear on the full City Council agenda for final acceptance and execution by the mayor and city clerk.
