Council approves $39,754.85 increase to CMAR authorization for water treatment valve replacement

Troy City Council adopted Resolution R52-2025 to amend prior authorization for the CMAR contract with Peterson Construction Company for the valve replacement project at the water treatment plant, increasing the authorization by $39,754.85. The Finance committee reported the additional amount was due to an unexpected issue encountered during the project and recommended emergency legislation so the contractor could be paid without delay and the project could be closed out.

Council suspended the rules and adopted the resolution. The motion to suspend was made by Mr. Sievert and seconded by Mr. Schilling; the motion to adopt was made by Mr. Witten and seconded by Mr. Pierce. A roll call showed affirmative votes by the members present and the resolution was adopted.

The committee asked staff to proceed with the payment to Peterson Construction to finalize the project closeout. The resolution amends the prior authorization (Resolution R462024) by the specified amount; council adopted the increase at this meeting.
