Woodbridge Township Honors Police Officers for Life-Saving Heroics and Community Service

During the Woodbridge Township Council meeting on May 21, 2024, Mayor John McCormac honored four police officers for their heroic actions in a life-saving incident that occurred on April 14, 2024. The recognition highlighted the officers' quick response to a domestic violence situation that involved a stabbing, showcasing their commitment to community safety.

Officers Andrew Lisick, Jacob Manente, Georgia Watt, and Dipin Nahi were commended for their decisive actions when they arrived at the scene of a reported domestic dispute. Upon arrival, they found a male victim with a severe stab wound to his leg, which had pierced his femoral artery. The officers quickly applied two tourniquets to control the bleeding, ultimately saving the man's life before he was transported to the hospital.

Mayor McCormac emphasized the importance of the officers' bravery and professionalism, stating that their actions exemplify why Woodbridge Township is a great community.
