Bid Opening for Metropark 4 H Building HVAC Draws Four Proposals

During the Yellowstone County Commissioner Meeting on April 30, 2024, significant progress was made regarding the HVAC system for the Metropark 4-H Building. Four bids were opened, showcasing a competitive range of proposals for the project.

The first bid, submitted by John Burns of Conditioned Air Services, totaled $119,580. The second bid came from Air Fab Inc., amounting to $126,407. Empire Heating and Cooling submitted the third bid at $141,007.62. The final bid, which did not include a contractor name, was from Air Controls in Billings, with a total of $168,004.80.

Commissioner Morris proposed a motion to refer these bids to staff for further evaluation and recommendations. This step is crucial as it allows for a thorough review of the proposals before a final decision is made by the board.
