City Council Discusses October Revenues and 2025 Budget Considerations

The City of Fenton's financial landscape took center stage during the December 12, 2024, Special and Board of Aldermen Committee Meeting, revealing a complex picture of revenues and expenditures. The general fund reported a sales tax revenue of $393,397, with total revenues reaching $621,491. However, expenditures exceeded revenues, resulting in a deficit of $397,268.

Notably, utility taxes showed a decline, down $7,255 from the previous year, while the stormwater fund faced a significant decrease in interest income, dropping by $40,734. The stormwater fund's total revenues were reported at $393,356, against expenditures of $914,834, leading to a net loss of $521,478.
