FFKR architects present Vivian Park master plan to Provo Canyon officials

Utah County officials are moving forward with an ambitious master plan for Vivian Park, a cherished area in Provo Canyon that has been under county ownership since the early 1970s. During a recent commission meeting, Richard Nelson from Public Works introduced a presentation by FFKR Architects, who were hired to develop a comprehensive plan for the park.

The presentation highlighted the collaborative efforts of FFKR, led by Susan Petter and Abe Nelson, who engaged with the community to gather input on the park's future. Their findings will shape the park's design, focusing on enhancing access and connections both within Vivian Park and to the nearby Provo River Trail.

Key elements of the plan include natural and passive features, active programming, and a strategic parking design to accommodate visitors. The architects emphasized the importance of creating a seamless connection between the park, surrounding neighborhoods, and roadways, ensuring that Vivian Park remains accessible to all.
