Jay Sundberg honored as Employee of the Month in Utah County

The Utah County Commission meeting on May 5, 2021, highlighted the recognition of Jay Sundberg as Employee of the Month, showcasing his significant contributions to the county's operations.

During the meeting, Patrick Warrow praised Sundberg for his extensive knowledge and talent, particularly in managing the county's base grama system. Warrow noted that Sundberg's expertise was crucial when a second e-recording vendor sought to collaborate with the recorder's office in 2020. Thanks to Sundberg's prior work with the vendor, the office was able to implement the new system swiftly.

Warrow also recalled a pivotal moment in February 2014 when changes to state water rights laws required immediate compliance. Sundberg's earlier programming efforts allowed the recorder's office to adapt quickly, ensuring that necessary data was already being captured and could be indexed with minimal effort.

In addition to his technical skills, Sundberg was recognized for his dedication during election nights, where he played a vital role in processing results and ensuring the accuracy of election data. His efforts contributed to the clerk auditor's office receiving accolades for its performance.
