Utah County honors Sergeant Justin Gordon and Tom Means for exceptional service

The Utah County Commission meeting held on December 1, 2021, commenced with a prayer led by Chaplain Linda Walton, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. The meeting's agenda included recognitions for outstanding service within the community.

The first recognition was awarded to Sergeant Justin Gordon, named Employee of the Month. Retired Sergeant Major Randy Edwards presented awards to Tom Means, recognizing his exceptional support for veterans and his leadership within the public defender's office. Edwards noted the sacrifices made by employers who support their employees in military service, highlighting the importance of such recognition.

Tom Means' colleagues praised his commitment and guidance over his 20-plus years in the office, underscoring his role in supporting the public defender team and his dedication to the Veterans Treatment Court.
