Tempe Union High School District honors indigenous lands and Unified Badminton team

The Tempe Union High School District Governing Board meeting held on October 18, 2023, commenced with a land acknowledgment, recognizing the ancestral lands of the Akmal O'odham, Pima, and Pee Posh Maricopa indigenous peoples. Representatives from Special Olympics Arizona, Jeff and Peyton, also addressed the board, expressing gratitude for the district's partnership in providing unified sports opportunities.
