George Washington High students advocate for International Women's Day holiday in San Francisco

Students from George Washington High School made a passionate plea at the recent San Francisco City Council meeting, advocating for the establishment of International Women's Day as an official holiday. Kathy Chen and Karen Lehi, both juniors and members of the women's and gender studies class, emphasized the need for a day dedicated to celebrating women's achievements and raising awareness about gender equality.
