San Francisco DPH honors COVID-19 response teams for outstanding service

Vice President Green then presented an award to the Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Branch, which has been active since the onset of the pandemic. Tiffany Rivera, deputy director of the branch, expressed gratitude for her team's dedication and the sacrifices they made during this challenging period.

The final award was presented by Commissioner Suzanne Jurado to the Mental Health Services Act and Office of Equity and Workforce Development team. This group has focused on promoting racial equity and social justice through various initiatives, including telehealth services and community health programs. Jessica Brown, acting director of the Behavioral Health Services Office of Equity and Workforce Development, highlighted the team's commitment to serving diverse communities and addressing systemic issues during the pandemic.
