SF Getting to Zero earns excellence award at Fast Track Cities conference in Lisbon

A significant achievement for San Francisco's public health initiatives was highlighted during a recent government meeting, where officials celebrated the city's recognition for its efforts to combat the urban HIV epidemic. The SF Getting to 0 program received the inaugural Circle of Excellence Award from the Fast Track Cities Institute at the Fast Track Cities 2021 conference in Lisbon, Portugal. This prestigious award places San Francisco alongside global cities like Bangkok, London, Nairobi, and São Paulo, showcasing the city's commitment to ending HIV.

In addition to this accolade, the Department of Public Health's Population Health Division was honored with the Gold Well-being Work Award. This recognition acknowledges the division's outstanding efforts in promoting community well-being during the challenging years of 2019 to 2021, particularly amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
