Another significant incident occurred on January 22 at 1312 Hayes Street, where a fire broke out undetected on the first floor and quickly spread through a light well, affecting multiple floors and neighboring structures. Fire crews had to act swiftly, calling for additional resources to manage the situation effectively.

The department also reported a tragic fatality in a separate fire at 717 Missouri Street, marking a somber reminder of the dangers faced by both firefighters and residents.
