Mayor Breed thanks APEC workers at informal event in Station 49

On December 12, Mayor London Breed visited Station 49 to express her gratitude to firefighters for their efforts during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit. The informal gathering allowed the mayor to engage with the firefighters, answering questions and addressing their concerns. This gesture was warmly received by the members of the station.

In addition, from December 15 to December 24, the Union Square Alliance hosted the Winter Walk event in Union Square. This festive occasion involved closing two blocks of Stockton Street, creating a vibrant atmosphere with blue carpeting and attractions such as polar bears for children. The San Francisco SPCA participated by showcasing animals, and they requested the presence of a fire engine or ambulance for families to explore, enhancing the community experience during the holiday season.
